In rapidly urbanizing areas like Cibubur, East Jakarta, inadequate crossing facilities heighten risks amid intensifying traffic on the Cibubur Alternative Highway. Systematic observations over three days (December 15–17, 2022) revealed peak-hour traffic volumes of 2,860 vehicles and a 32.9% drop in pedestrian crossings due to safety fears. This study designs, develops, and tests an Arduino Mega-based pedestrian crossing aid prototype that uses HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors to detect pedestrians automatically and control traffic lights without manual buttons. The three-stage architecture includes input processing via distance measurement, Arduino Mega logic for decisions, and LED outputs for signals. Testing confirmed 100% accuracy in detecting objects within 10 inches (25.4 cm) and activating red lights over 50 iterations. This low-cost ($30 USD/unit), open-source solution advances embedded systems for pedestrian safety, offering adaptable traffic management in resource-limited urban areas lacking conventional infrastructure.
2026-02-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Tri Anando Vilgadiandra Suherman https://www.jiss.publikasiindonesia.id.solusipublish.com/index.php/jiss/article/view/2225 Identification of Airborne Flora Before and After Activities in the Libraryand Classrooms of the Faculty of Medicine, Yarsi University, and a Review From an Islamic Perspective 2026-02-07T08:14:05+00:00 Maitsa Hasna Kamalah maitsahasna07@gmail.com Ike Irmawati Purbo Astuti ike.2110@gmail.com Titiek Djannatun titiek.djannatun@yarsi.ac.id

Libraries and classrooms are indoor environments with high usage intensity, making Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) crucial for the health and comfort of occupants. Indoor air flora is influenced by various environmental factors, including human activities, occupant density, temperature, humidity, lighting, and ventilation. Airborne microorganisms can act as vectors for pathogens that impact health; therefore, monitoring air flora before and after activities is essential. This study employed a descriptive quantitative–qualitative approach. A total of 20 air samples were collected from the library and classrooms using the settle plate method with Nutrient Agar media, both before and after activities. Samples were incubated at 37°C for 24–48 hours, after which bacterial colonies were counted (CFU) and identified based on colony morphology and Gram staining. The results showed an increase in airborne colonies after activities, particularly in classrooms, with the highest count observed in Class 10A. The library exhibited relatively fewer colonies, remaining below the standard IAQ threshold of 700 CFU/m³. Microbial identification revealed that Gram-negative Cocci dominated in classrooms, while Gram-positive Cocci were more prevalent in the library. These results indicate that human activities contribute significantly to the increase in airborne microorganisms. In conclusion, high occupancy rates and activity levels in classrooms lead to higher microbial loads, whereas libraries maintain lower counts. Human activity directly affects the concentration of indoor air microorganisms. To support a healthy and comfortable learning environment, effective hygiene management and optimal ventilation systems are essential for maintaining good Indoor Air Quality.

2026-02-18T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Maitsa Hasna Kamalah, Ike Irmawati Purbo Astuti, Titiek Djannatun https://www.jiss.publikasiindonesia.id.solusipublish.com/index.php/jiss/article/view/2223 The Influence of Information Technology Utilization in Taxation, Tax Socialization, and Tax Sanctions on Individual Taxpayer Compliance at the Bandung Cibeunying Primary Tax Office 2026-01-29T02:15:15+00:00 Maziyyah Nadhir mnadhirrrr@gmail.com Wajib Ginting wajib.ginting@inaba.ac.id Deni Hamdani deni.hamdani@inaba.ac.id
Taxes are a potential source of state revenue to be able to achieve development success, so that from year to year tax revenues are expected to continue to increase in an effort to finance national development. Taxpayer compliance is an important factor in realizing tax revenue targets. The higher the taxpayer's compliance, the more tax revenue will increase, and vice versa. This study aims to test and analyze the influence of information technology in taxation, tax socialization, and tax sanctions on the compliance of individual taxpayers at the Bandung Cibeunying Pratama Tax Service Office. The research method uses explanatory research, a data collection technique using primary data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires. The research sample was 100 respondents, the sampling method used accidental sampling. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that descriptively the application of information technology in taxation, tax socialization, and tax sanctions is optimal, while taxpayer compliance is still low. As for verifiability, the results were obtained that: (1) information technology in taxation has a significant effect on taxpayer compliance, (2) tax socialization has a significant effect on taxpayer compliance, (3) tax sanctions have a significant effect on taxpayer compliance, and (4) information technology in taxation, tax socialization, and tax sanctions have a significant effect on taxpayer compliance.
2026-02-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Maziyyah Nadhir https://www.jiss.publikasiindonesia.id.solusipublish.com/index.php/jiss/article/view/2215 Legal Analysis of the Political Policy on the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program of the Prabowo–Gibran Administration Lacking a Legal Framework 2026-02-11T07:56:39+00:00 Oktoriusman Halawa oktohalawa.net@gmail.com
This legal research aims to examine the legal certainty of the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) by the Prabowo-Gibran government to achieve legal certainty and good governance. This study employs a normative juridical approach, using primary data derived from laws, regulations, and court decisions. The results indicate that the implementation of the MBG program by the Prabowo-Gibran government lacks a clear and definitive legal basis, which is not aligned with the objectives of the law and the principles of good governance. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the implementation of the MBG program by the Prabowo-Gibran administration lacks a strong and well-defined legal framework, resulting in inconsistency with the objectives of the law and the principles of good governance. Therefore, it is recommended that the government promptly evaluate and strengthen the legal foundation of the MBG program, preferably through a Government Regulation or, ideally, through a Law, to ensure legal certainty and the realization of good governance.
2026-02-18T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Oktoriusman Halawa https://www.jiss.publikasiindonesia.id.solusipublish.com/index.php/jiss/article/view/2210 Analisis Semiotika Visual Poster Konser Bts “Bang Bang Con: The Live” 2026-02-05T07:47:56+00:00 Newahyu Jamalika Shintia newajamalika@gmail.com Fuji Astutu fujiastuti@fbs.unp.ac.id Ardipal Ardipal Ardipal@fbs.unp.ac.id Indrayuda Indrayuda Yudaindra@fbs.unp.ac.id
Glue abuse as an addictive substance among adolescents and marginalized communities is a social and health problem that requires comprehensive policy interventions. This paper aims to formulate strategies to counter glue abuse through a regulatory approach, distribution control, strengthening of the social environment, enforcement of sanctions, and rehabilitation. The method used is a policy analysis based on a normative review of laws and regulations related to public health and social rehabilitation, accompanied by the formulation of an implementation mechanism at the local government level. The results of the study show that the issuance of regional regulations/regional head regulations regarding sanctions for distributors, sellers, and consumers, as well as the implementation of a “one-tap” distribution system, can restrict access and suppress the circulation of glue. Environmental strengthening is carried out through the improvement of public facilities, the initiation of economic activities in vulnerable areas, and joint patrols. The enforcement of administrative and social sanctions, the provision of rewards and punishments for regional apparatus, the establishment of complaint channels, and the socialization of P4GN strengthen the preventive effect. On the curative side, the establishment of permanent rehabilitation facilities based on health and social regulations is a prerequisite for sustainable recovery. With the integration of prevention, enforcement, and rehabilitation, this policy has the potential to reduce the prevalence of glue abuse while enhancing public health protection at the regional level.
2026-02-12T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Newahyu Jamalika Shintia, Fuji Astutu, Ardipal Ardipal, Indrayuda Indrayuda https://www.jiss.publikasiindonesia.id.solusipublish.com/index.php/jiss/article/view/2208 The Challenges in Developing Indonesia's Gastrodiplomacy in Jeddah 2026-02-11T07:54:04+00:00 Laras Putri Olifiani laras.po@fisip.untan.ac.id Annisatun Rahadatul Aisy laras.po@fisip.untan.ac.id
As globalization continues to develop, culture and culinary traditions have become areas of great interest to the international community. These developments compel the sector to adjust its strategies to remain profitable and continue expanding while complying with laws and regulations. In the midst of shifting industry conditions between early 2020 and late 2023, the author observes a notable shift in investment patterns among Indonesian life insurance companies and examines these circumstances as well as their causes. This journal employs qualitative methodologies by analyzing data consisting of investment asset portfolio information and investment returns for Indonesian life insurance companies. Observations and in-depth interviews were conducted with key investment personnel in several life insurance firms to identify the variables impacting investment strategy adjustments made by Indonesian life insurance companies during the aforementioned period. The study also evaluates the effect that these strategic shifts have on total investment income and the commensurability between the companies’ assets and liabilities. According to the analysis and observations, several factors—such as modifications to tax laws governing bond investments, adjustments to regulations applicable to life insurance companies, and a decline in unit-linked product sales—have driven these changes. In light of these conditions, there is a pressing need for more detailed regulations governing investment strategy mechanisms and pricing provisions related to investments.
2026-02-10T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Mariam Benazir, Lenny Suardi https://www.jiss.publikasiindonesia.id.solusipublish.com/index.php/jiss/article/view/2228 Political Economy Analysis of Media in Reporting Sesingal Tidung on Radio Republik Indonesia, Tarakan City 2026-01-22T07:18:51+00:00 Adinda Rahmadhani adindarahmadhani45@gmail.com Nurliah Nurliah nurliah.simollah@fisip.unmul.ac.id Silviana Purwanti silvianapurwanti@fisip.unmul.ac.id Harry Isra Muhammad Harryisramuhammad@fisip.unmul.ac.id
This study examines the political economy of media representation, focusing on the coverage of Sesingal Tidung culture in Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Tarakan. Factors such as learning activities, population density, and ventilation systems influence the presence of airborne microorganisms. This research aims to compare the airborne flora before and after learning activities in the Skill Lab and Tutorial rooms at the Faculty of Medicine, YARSI University, and to analyze the findings from an Islamic perspective. A descriptive qualitative–quantitative method was applied, with 20 samples collected using the settle plate method on Nutrient Agar media. Samples were incubated at 35–37°C for 48 hours, and the bacterial colonies were then counted (CFU) and identified using Gram staining. The results show that the number of airborne microorganisms in five Skill Labs and five Tutorial rooms remained below the standard threshold for air quality (<700 CFU/m³). However, there was a noticeable increase in the number of colonies after learning activities, with the lowest value recorded at 0 CFU/m³ and the highest at 13 CFU/m³. This increase is suspected to be related to human activity, density, and mobility during class sessions. Microscopic identification revealed the predominance of Gram-positive Coccus bacteria, with some Gram-negative rods. In conclusion, the number of airborne microorganisms in the Skill Lab and Tutorial rooms at the Faculty of Medicine, YARSI University, is still within the quality standard, although learning activities contribute to an increase in colony numbers. Feast which is released in 2023. This video clip is interesting to study because it presents a representation of religious rituals that is full of visual symbols, but placed in a digital culture context that emphasizes media documentation, visibility, and connectivity. This research aims to understand how simulacra is displayed as a distortion of the meaning of the ritual of the Soul Mass through visual symbols that appear in a series of scenes. The method used is interpretive qualitative research with Roland Barthes semiotic analysis, which includes the reading of denotative, connotative, and mythical meanings. The selection of units of analysis was carried out through Jean Baudrillard's simulacra theory, focusing on ten scenes representing the five aspects of simulacra. The results show that these video clips build on the dominant myth that represents social media and digital connectivity as a new authority in contemporary religious practices. The ritual of the Mass of the Spirits is no longer fully interpreted as a sacred experience that is transcendent, but is reduced to a visual performance that can be recorded, displayed, and socially validated. These findings confirm the existence of a process of desacralization of worship, as well as serve as a social critique of the shift in the religious orientation of the people in today's visual and digital culture.
2026-02-02T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Daffa Kamal Pasya, Nurliah Nurliah https://www.jiss.publikasiindonesia.id.solusipublish.com/index.php/jiss/article/view/2212 Outpatient Financial Management Strategies in Increasing the Income of Dr. Sobirin Musi Rawas Hospital 2026-02-05T08:34:12+00:00 Jayanti Puspitasari yp79179@gmail.com Poppy Yaniawati kahar@ars.ac.id Kahar Mulyani pyaniawati@unpas.ac.id
This study aims to analyze financial management strategies in the outpatient unit of Dr. Sobirin Musi Rawas Hospital in addressing the challenges of implementing the National Health Insurance (JKN) and increasing hospital revenue. The research employed a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques consisting of in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and analysis of financial documents. A SWOT analysis was applied to identify internal and external factors influencing financial performance and to determine the hospital’s strategic position. The results indicate that the hospital possesses several strengths, including competent human resources, relatively effective inter-unit coordination, utilization of the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS), and a relatively high level of patient trust and outpatient visits. However, the study also identified several weaknesses, such as delays in BPJS claim disbursements, inefficient administrative processes, limited integration of digital systems, and the absence of regular financial evaluations. Opportunities available to the hospital arise from the sustainability of the JKN program, advances in digital technology, and potential collaboration with external parties. Meanwhile, threats include increasing competition from private healthcare facilities, rigid BPJS regulations, and cash flow instability caused by delayed claims. Based on the SWOT analysis, the hospital is positioned in Quadrant I, indicating that a growth strategy is the most appropriate approach to improve financial management and hospital revenue.
2026-02-12T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Jayanti Puspitasari, Poppy Yaniawati, Kahar Mulyani https://www.jiss.publikasiindonesia.id.solusipublish.com/index.php/jiss/article/view/2209 Consumer Position Theory in Relation to Criminal Law Policies on Glue Abuse 2026-02-11T07:54:44+00:00 Widarsono Widarsono widar3545@gmail.com Sodikin Sodikin sodikin.fh@umj.ac.id
This study discusses the legal vacuum surrounding the abuse of addictive substances, particularly in cases of illegal glue use among young people, which has become increasingly concerning for society. Across Indonesia, there have been several cases of death resulting from the misuse of addictive substances contained in glue. The main issue examined concerns criminal law policy as part of state legal politics and the theory of consumer position in relation to the abuse of glue containing addictive substances. The research method employed is normative descriptive, utilizing both legislative and conceptual approaches. The results of the study explain that, according to the Consumer Position Theory, a contract is not a prerequisite for imposing an obligation on business actors to protect consumers. This obligation exists regardless of whether a contractual relationship is established. Therefore, with or without a contract between business actors and consumers, the responsibility of business actors to protect their consumers remains. Business actors must not prioritize profit alone. Moreover, even if a business actor has informed consumers about the potential hazards of a product to life or health, this does not automatically exempt the business actor from criminal liability. Each case must instead be examined individually based on its specific circumstances.
2026-02-18T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Widarsono Widarsono, Sodikin Sodikin https://www.jiss.publikasiindonesia.id.solusipublish.com/index.php/jiss/article/view/2204 The Effect of Administration of Leilem Leaf Extract (Clerodendrum Minahassae) on the Histopathological Features of the Liver in Wistar Rats (Rattus Norvegicus) Induced with Cap Tikus Alcoholic Beverage 2026-02-11T07:26:39+00:00 Andrea Abelia Hans andreahans011@student.unsrat.ac.id Nur Anindhita Kurniawaty Anindhitawijaya@unsrat.ac.id Maria Kristianti Sambuaga andreahans011@student.unsrat.ac.id
Excessive alcohol consumption, including traditional alcoholic beverages such as Cap Tikus (alcohol content ±45%) from North Sulawesi, can induce liver damage characterized by steatosis, inflammation, and necrosis. Leilem leaf (Clerodendrum minahassae) extract, rich in phenolic and flavonoid compounds, has potential hepatoprotective effects due to its antioxidant properties. Purpose: To evaluate the effect of Leilem leaf extract on the histopathological features of the liver in Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) induced by Cap Tikus alcoholic beverage. This experimental study used a post-test-only control group design with 24 male Wistar rats divided into four groups: normal control, negative control (Cap Tikus 2.16 mL/day), treatment I (Leilem extract 150 mg/kgBW + Cap Tikus), and treatment II (Leilem extract 300 mg/kgBW + Cap Tikus). Treatments were administered orally for 14 days. Liver tissue was processed for histopathological examination using hematoxylin-eosin staining and observed under a light microscope. The negative control group showed significant steatosis and inflammatory cell infiltration. The treatment groups exhibited reduced steatosis and inflammation, along with increased hepatocyte regeneration. The higher dose (300 mg/kgBW) demonstrated greater hepatoprotective effects and more prominent regeneration compared to the lower dose (150 mg/kgBW). The focus of the research is directed toward the development of children's expressive language skills, especially in composing simple sentences that are sequential, meaningful, and contextually appropriate to the story. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach carried out in an early childhood institution with group B children as research subjects. The population in this study consists of all group B children, with a research sample of 10 children determined using a saturated sampling technique. The data analysis technique was conducted descriptively, qualitatively, and quantitatively by comparing the improvement in children's abilities in each action cycle. The results of the study show a significant increase in children's sentence-composing skills after the application of the storytelling method using puppets. Children became more active, confident in speaking, able to compose sentences with more complete structures, and showed great enthusiasm during storytelling activities. Improvements were observed in each cycle, both in terms of vocabulary, fluency in speaking, and the ability to tell stories coherently. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the storytelling method using finger puppet media is effective in improving the ability to compose sentences in early childhood. Therefore, it is recommended that PAUD teachers use wayang jari media as an alternative for creative and innovative learning.
2026-02-17T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Uswatun Hasanah, Aliah Bagus Purwakania Hasan, Zirmanyah Zirmanyah
